Former Accra Lions winger Daniel Kwame Awuni has completed his medical and put pen to paper on a permanent deal with Aduana FC, marking his return to the Ghana Premier League.
The highly-rated 19-year-old attacker comes back to domestic football after gaining valuable experience abroad, with stints at Norwegian side Sarpsborg and Serbian outfit Čukarički. Aduana FC are expected to make the signing official in the coming days.
Awuni’s acquisition comes at a crucial point in the campaign as Aduana step up their push for the league title. The Dormaa-based club currently sit just two points off the summit and are keen to bolster their squad as the season enters a decisive phase.
Known for his pace, direct running and ability to stretch defences, Awuni is expected to add much-needed width and attacking depth to Aduana’s frontline. The club will be hoping the young winger settles quickly and delivers an immediate impact as they look to sustain their momentum and remain firmly in the championship race.
