International marketing officer for Aduana Stars, Collins Atta Poku has revealed how close his team came in signing Victorien Adebayor
The Nigerien has been a great hit at Inter Allies in both his first and second stint but could have been playing for the the Dormaa-based club who were also after him.
Atta poku disclosed that the management of Aduana were so confident of signing the forward but lost on the last minute after Inter Allies offered him a bumper deal.
“Myself, [Albert] Commey and [Isaac] Koomson taking turns at Kotoka waiting for Adebayor for three days. We kept on telling Dormaahene everything was okay and he should be rest assured. Finally finally, Inter Allies were in Niamey pulling our pants down offering improved terms. The rest is history.”- Atta Poku posted on his twitter page
Before the Ghana league was suspended, Adebayor was the best player by far having scored twelve goals and providing five assists as well as winning five most valuable player awards.
Asante Kotoko and hearts of oak have expressed interest in Adebayor and Allies will only allow their talisman to leave if the offer is good.
Currently, Adebayor is valued $150000 by Inter Allies.
