The Black Stars group D opponents Uganda claimed a 1-0 victory over Slovenia in a friendly game in preparation for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Onduparaka FC striker Muhammad Shaban scored the game’s only goal in the first half to give the Cranes a win in the match that was played behind closed doors in the UAE.
The victory comes two days after the Cranes lost 2-0 in a pre-Africa Cup of Nations friendly against North African side Tunisia.
They will next face Slovakia on Sunday before finalising their preparations with a friendly against reigning African champions Ivory Coast on Wednesday. The Africa Cup of Nations is set to kick-off on Jan. 14 in Gabon.
Uganda were drawn in Group D alongside Egypt, Ghana and Mali. The Pharaohs will play their first match on the 17th against Mali before going head to head with Uganda on Jan. 21.
