Former Ghana international Princeton Owusu-Ansah believes the Black Stars ‘stand a chance’ of recording a victory against title holders Cameroon.
The Black Stars of Ghana will lock horns with Cameroon on Saturday at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Ismailia stadium, Egypt.
Ghana, having drew two apiece against Benin in the opening game, will be hoping to defeat Clarence Seedorf’s side to keep their dream of ending the country’s 37-years trophy drought alive.
And the former AshantiGold SC midfielder who featured for the Black Stars between 1996- 2002 admits Cameroon would make the game very difficult for Ghana, but remains confident of win for the four-time African champions.
In an exclusive chat with SportsworldGhana.com from his base in UK ahead of the crucial game, he said ”Ghana do stand a chance of beating Cameroon tomorrow,”
”I believe the players especially the new entrants have now overcome the pressure and tensions in the beginning of tournaments which most players experience all the time,”
Princeton Owusu-Ansah presented Ghana at both the Burkina 1998 and Mali 2002 Africa Cup of Nations is currently into coaching in UK.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 1900hrs local time (5:00pm GMT).
