Ghana’s senior male national team [Black Stars held their first training at the Baba Yara sports stadium, Kumasi ahead of Sunday’s cash against Ethiopia.
Columbus Crew duo Jonathan Mensah and Harrison Afful together with Isaac Sackey and Jerry Akaminko are yet to join their team mates in Kumasi ahead of Sunday’s AFCON 2019 Qualifier clash against Ethiopia.
The Black Stars team arrived in Kumasi Monday afternoon without the quartet after a three- day non-residential training in Accra.
Twenty-two [22] players trained with the team Monday evening at the Baba Yara sports stadium under the supervision of head coach Akwesi Appiah and deputy Ibrahim Tanko.
Vice President of the Ghana Football Association Gorge Afriyie tells sportsworldghana.com the four players are likely to join the team in Kumasi on latest Wednesday 7 June.
”Now we have twenty-two players here and four players will join them later” Said Afriyie.
He added” Harrison Afful and Jonathan Mensah will join their team mates from USA whiles Isaac Sackey and Akaminko joins them from Turkey.
The team will continue their training Tuesday at exactly 3:30pm at the same venue.
