Ghana international, Asamoah Gyan has described Ghana’s group for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations as a tricky one.
The Black Stars were drawn in Group C, where they face competitions from Morocco, Gabon and Comoros for a place in the knockout stage.
Many have suggested the Stars have been handed quite a fair group ahead of the tournament to be staged in Cameroon next year, but Ghana’s all-time top scorer has described the draw as one that is very tricky.
“Gabon is a good team, and they have [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang, who is one of the great players out there. Morocco were wonderful in the qualifiers, having conceded just one goal,” Gyan explained.
“I said at the draw, it’s a tricky group and we have to first make sure we qualify from the group. then we think about winning the cup.”
The Legon Cities forward was one of the African legends called upon by the Confederation of African Football to assist the draw which was done earlier this week.
