Ivory Coast and Cameroon played out an entertaining 1-1 draw in their Group F match at the Stade de Marrakech, as both sides remained on course for qualification at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
After a lively but goalless first half, the game came to life shortly after the break. Manchester United winger Amad Diallo put Ivory Coast ahead in the 51st minute with a moment of brilliance, curling a fine left-footed shot into the far corner after a well-timed pass from Ghislain Konan.
Cameroon responded almost immediately. Just five minutes later, Junior Tchamadeu’s long-range effort took a big deflection off Konan and looped over goalkeeper Yahia Fofana, leaving him helpless as the ball found the net.
Both teams pushed for a winner in the closing stages. Ivory Coast increased the pressure and brought on Wilfried Zaha, while Cameroon also created chances, but neither side could find a decisive goal.
The draw leaves both Ivory Coast and Cameroon with four points each in Group F, keeping them in a strong position ahead of the final round of group matches.
