Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has left out Abdul Baba Rahman from his initial 25-man squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola.
The defender has not been consistent enough for Reading since returning from the 2022 FIFA World Cup where he featured in all games for the senior national team.
The left-back has come under huge criticism for his performances for Ghana with some suggesting he is not worthy of a call-up.
The new head coach has however dropped Rahman from the team to face Angola later this month.
Ghana will host Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium on March 23 before playing away from home four days later.
