Black Satellites took on the Scorpions of Gambia in the 2021 AFCON U-20 third round of games on Monday evening in Noaudhibou.

Ghana after picking four points from two matches started the game on a blistering pace and scored an early goal when Fatawu Issahaku powered home the game’s opening goal with a thumping strike from 30-yards out.

Kajally Drammeh equalized for the Young Scorpions with a header from close range on the 20th minute mark to make it 1-1.

Fourteen minutes later,Lamarana Jallow scored from a long way out from a direct free-kick to turn it around for the Gambians.

Ghana failed to live up to expectations in the second half and could not find the equalizer as they succumbed to a 1-2 loss to finish third on the table and qualified as one of the best third placed teams in the tournament.
