Franck Kessie is the name on everyone’s lips after he starred in AC Milan’s Europa League clash with Manchester United last week.
The Ivory Coast midfielder had a superb goal on the half-volley harshly disallowed for handball in the first-half of a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
Kessie’s AC Milan host United in the second leg of the last-16 clash in what looks set to be a blockbuster showdown on Thursday.
And it is a game that could mean more to Kessie seeing as he previously admitted it is his ‘dream’ to play for Manchester United.
In 2017, he said: “I like the Premier League and in particular Manchester United. A team for which I dream of playing.
“Chelsea? Even that is a great club. No one would refuse it, but I dream of United.”
In December, West Ham, Tottenham and Arsenal were reportedly battling it out to sign Kessie, who is valued at around £42million.
However, AC Milan are not prepared to let their star man go with club chiefs planning to tie him down to a new deal until 2026.
Kessie, whose contract runs out next year, has become an integral part of Stefano Pioli’s side, scoring 10 goals in all competitions this season.
He has missed just one of AC Milan’s 27 Serie A games as they trail leaders Inter by 10 points.
