Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah was phenomenal and scored for his side
Empoli who defeated Torino 4-1 on Sunday in the Italian Serie A.
The home side looked determined and motivated for the points as they started off on a good note and took the lead in the 27th minute through Afriyie Acquah.
The goal was his second goal of the season.
Torino came back from the break knowing very well that, nothing less than a win would dent their chances of European football next season.
Spainish international, Iago Falque levelled the score for Torino just 3
minutes after coming off the bench for Ola Aina in the 56th minute mark.
Afriyie Acquah’s afternoon ended sadly after he came off injured and was
replaced by another former Torino player, Matteo Brighi in the 64th minute
Substituted, Matteo Brighi made an instant impact for Empoli scoring after a minute on the field of play.
Further goals from Italian internationals, Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Francesco Caputo in the 70th and 88th minutes respectively sealed the points.
The win makes it three win in a row for Empoli as they move a place up in
the table and out of the drop zone as things stands
