Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, a former midfielder for the Black Stars, has boldly predicted that Samartex 1996 is on track to clinch the Ghana Premier League (GPL) title for the 2023/24 season.
Attributing Samartex’s success to strategic recruitment, Badu, who previously played for Kotoko and Berekum Arsenal, highlighted the team’s strengthened performance due to their astute player acquisitions.
Speaking on Services Radio in Sunyani, Badu praised the management for establishing robust structures that have propelled the team’s position in the league.
“I tip Samartex to win the league. I have 98% belief that they will emerge as champions after the season, despite three games left to spare.
“They have performed exceptionally well as a team, displaying remarkable tactical discipline,” he added.
He lauded the team’s cohesive play and tactical prowess, stating, “If any team will win the league this year, it will be them, no doubt.”
Currently leading the GPL with 55 points, Samartex 1996 has just three games left in the 2023/24 season to solidify their title pursuit.
