Ghana international Kamaldeen Sulemana has been snubbed from the shortlist for the 2021 Golden Boy award.
The youngster who has been in great form for Danish side Nordsjaelland was one of the surprise exclusion from the list which was released on Tuesday.
Kamaldeen had an impressive campaign during 2020/21 season, being directly involved in 15 goals in 29 games for his side.
The 19-year-old found the back of the net on 10 occasions adding up a further five assists as his side finished sixth in the 2020/21 Danish Superligaen.
His performances for the club also saw him earn a maiden call-up into the Ghana Black Stars team in October 2020 before adding up another appearance for the country.
Kamaldeen also through his rich vein of form, made it into the list for L’Equipe’s best 50 young players to watch, UEFA’s ’50 to watch’ list as well as becoming the first FCN player to win Player of the Month and Young Player awards.
The Golden Boy award is a yearly award given by sports journalists to young footballers believed to have had an impressive year of football.
For many Ghanaians, the omission of the former Right To Dream academy product is a huge disservice for Ghana football.
