Dutch Eredivisie giants AFC Ajax Amsterdam coach, Erik ten Hag hopes to get Ghanaian striker, Brian Brobbey back into the team for the next season.
According to the coach, it is going to be very difficult for him to get Brobbey back into the four-time UEFA Champions League winners’ side but would cherish it if it could happen.
“Whether we can get Brobbey back after Nagelsmann and Krösche have recently stated they will leave RB Leipzig? For me, that would be an option, yes. We’re looking for an extra striker next season. Just not sure if it’s possible.”, he said.
The 19-year-old Ghanaian bulky attacker has scored nine goals and has four assists in 17 games this season for the Dutch Champions.
Brobbey signed a pre-contract agreement with the German Bundesliga team ahead of the start of next season but with sporting director Krösche and head coach Nagelsmann leaving, the young man may feel disappointed in leaving his Boyhood club.
The young lad played six games in the UEFA Europa League for the Red and Whites and scored three goals with one assist.
Brobbey’s new employers are likely to win their first major silverware this season when they face a tough opponent Borussia Dortmund in the DFB Pokal Cup later this month.
The Ghanaian forward will end the season as a double winner with Ajax by lifting the KNVB Cup and the Eredivisie title.
