Dutch giants Ajax have handed contract extension to Klass Jan Huntelaar as they believe he can help the upcoming strikers to develop.
Ajax Sports director Marc Overmars pointed out that they have extended Huntelaar’s stay at Ajax until the summer of 2021 as they want him to mentor Brian Brobbey and Lassina Traore who all have huge potentials and are currently with the first team.
“We wanted to keep Klaas Jan in any form and we are convinced that he can also be valuable as a player next season. We believe it will be important in other roles, for example for the growth of young talents like Lassina Traoré and Brian Brobbey. “ Overmars told Ajax TV
Brobbey, 18, has already been tagged as the next biggest star in Ajax after showing great promise at the club age levels.
He is currently on the wanted list of Real Madrid, Barcelona and a host of other teams.
