Al Ahly boss Pitso Mosimane has distanced himself from the South Africa national team job.
The South African Football Association were bent on handing Mosimane the job following the sacking of Ntseki Molefi but now they are looking elsewhere.
According to Egyptian tabloid Kingfut, Mosimane was the preferred choice but he blatantly turned down the offer as he seeks to complete his task with the African club of the century.
Now, the Rainbow country have turned their attention to veterans Carlos Queiroz and Hugo Broos for the job with the former who previously qualified the Bafana Bafana to the 202 World Cup in Japan and South Korea likely to to be appointed as the new South Africa national team coach.
South Africa are paired in the same Group alongside Ghana, Mozambique and Ethiopia for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers which start in June.
