Alain Ravera, an experienced French football tactician, has been appointed as an Assistant Coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, bringing along a strong blend of European club expertise and African international exposure.
Ravera has previously worked with the Guinea national team as an assistant coach, where he gained valuable insight into African football at the highest competitive level.
His time with the Syli Nationale exposed him to international tournaments, player management, and high-pressure match environments.
At club level, Ravera has served within the technical setup of French Ligue 1 sides, including AS Monaco, renowned for elite talent development and tactical excellence and is expected to strengthen Ghana’s bench ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament.
He has also held the role of temporary assistant manager at AS Saint-Étienne, featuring on the technical bench during top-flight Ligue 1 fixtures, including high-profile matches against clubs such as Lille.
With a background rooted in tactical organisation, match preparation, and player development, Ravera’s appointment is expected to strengthen the technical bench and enhance strategic planning and execution on match days. His diverse experience across international football and elite European leagues positions him as a valuable addition to the coaching structure.
