Kotoko have described Albert Amoah’s return as a well-planned decision, not a surprise as some have suggested. According to the club, such moves are normal in football, especially when strong relationships exist between clubs and players.

After Amoah’s move to Libya, Kotoko said they stayed in constant contact with both the player and his new club. When Al Ahly Benghhazi later decided to loan him out, Kotoko were the first option considered.

The club explained that they quickly accepted the opportunity, taking into account Amoah’s history and contribution to Kotoko. They are confident his return will add quality and depth to their attacking options.

The comments were made by Kotoko’s communications director, Sarfo Duku, during an interview on Akoma FM.
