The Ghanaian duo have safely escaped the woes of relegation after a very torrid season in the Italian Top flight.

After a very nervy second half of the season with relegation starring at the Islander, they managed to place 16th on the league log with 37 points and a better goal aggregate than Torino also on 37 points.

Cagliari lost the final league match against Genoa but it was still enough to see them leap the relegation zone.

Alfred Duncan Replaced Radja Nianggolan in the 9th minute of the game as Shomuroduv strike in the 15th minute was enough to win the game for Genoa.

Kwadwo Asamoah joined Cagliari as a free agent but has found playing time very difficult to come by. However, his fellow Ghanaian compatriot has been ever present in the Cagliari set-up with rumours linking him to Roma next season.
