The eldest of the Mbappes, Kylian, has already won the FIFA World Cup after helping France win their second title in 2018.
The younger one, Ethan, has begun to write his own story after a good start to the new season, where he has scored 2 goals in five games for French Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille.

The 18-year-old moved from PSG as a free agent in the 2024-25 season to Lille and has been predicted to have a good career, having been identified as one of the best left-footed youngsters in French football.
Having represented France at the U-16 level in 2021, the teenager has been chased by the Algerian senior national team to switch nationality.
Born in Montreuil to Wilfred Mbappe, the father from Cameroon and Fayza Lamari, the mother of Algerian origin, the player qualifies to play for France, Cameroon and Algeria.
The Algerian national team has contacted the mother, per multiple sources and is discussing a decision that will benefit the youngster.
Cameroon are yet to make any contact for the Lille attacker. Algeria has the upper hand after qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as Ethan will be keen to play for his mother’s country.
Algeria has earmarked Ethan as the possible replacement for Riyad Mahrez, who intends to retire from the national team after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
