Ghanaian international Alhassan Wakaso is expected to take a scan after suffering what seems to be a fibula injury in Olympiacos Nicosia 1-0 win over Omonia AC in the Cypriot First League on Sunday.
Wakaso was tackled from behind by Nigerian midfielder Shehu Abdulahi in the 34th minute which to him being stretched off and the offender getting sent off.
The injury looked to be serious as the Ghanaian enforcer could not even walked and had to be carried off on a stretcher.
He will take a scan today (Monday) to know the extent of the injury and how long he will be in the treatment room.
His club head coach has already wished him speedy recovery s he hopes to have him back in the coming months.
“Get well soon Wakaso, he broke his Fibula.” Head Coach Giannis Petrakis stated .
“We will support him, we can celebrate with his happening despite winning.” He added.
Wakaso has a long history of injuries as he spent almost two years in the treatment room when he was in Portugal.
