The Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of recently crowned Ghana Premier League champions, Oduro Nyarko has revealed that his charges were also victims of bad officiating.
Speaking to Asempa FM in an interview, the experienced administrator remarked that contrary to views held by critics that his club always had preferential treatment from referees, Wa All Stars also experienced bad officiating.
“Why do you think the disciplinary committee punished some of the referees who handled our games? We were also victims of bad officiating”
He also laughed off suggestions that Kwesi Nyatakyi used his position as the president of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) to influence results of matches in their favor.
Kwesi did not influence referees or their appointment. We won the league due to hard work not because Kwesi Nyantakyi played any untoward role” he said
Wa All Stars made history as the first club from the three northern regions to have won the GHPL title.
