Ghana and Swansea City star Andre Ayew has expressed delight in his side’s 2-1 victory against Middlesbrough City in the English Championship on Saturday evening.
The 31-year-old grabbed a late winner for the Whites and Blacks in their hard-fought home win to revive their automatic Premier League promotion hopes with two matches in hand.
Ayew scored the first goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up five minutes from the halftime whistle with a beautiful strike on the 40th-minute mark.
On the 90th minute mark, Middlesbrough scored the equalizer and what looked like a point clincher but Aye was at it again as he converted a late penalty for a second game running to secure win for the Jack Army’s at the jaws of dropping points at home.
The Ghanaian international has scored thirteen goals and provided two assists this season for the Swans in the English Championship.
The Black Stars captain took to Twitter to celebrate the victory.
”3 points, hard game but the spirit in this team is great, never give up, feels good to get 2 goals we keep going. YJB,”
