Goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey is sure Swansea City Andre Ayew will succeed as captain of the national team- Black Stars.
According to Kwarasey, the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup winner, is a natural leader and believes he has what it takes to lead the Black Stars to excel on the continent.
Ayew has been retained as captain of the team despite the recent changes by coach Charles Kwablan Akunnor to the leadership of the team.
Midfielder Thomas Partey and Richard Ofori are his two deputy captains.
“Andre will probably do well, he is a natural leader. Always 100 percent on the pitch and a good player as well, so no doubt about that,” he told Citi Sports.
“I have no idea how it went down so I don’t even want to comment on it. I just read about it and never asked anybody about it so I didn’t pay too much attention to it because I’ve realized that a lot of what you read in the media in Ghana is false. Just like people have written lately that I regret playing for Ghana; that’s false,” he added.
Kwarasey played 24 times for the Black Stars and was a member of the Black Stars team at the World Cup in 2014.
