Anthony Baffoe ; Deputy General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the May 9 stadium disaster.
On May 9th 2001, 127 lives were lost at the Accra Sports Stadium after a stampede in a Premier League game between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
The former Ghana international, however, called on all stakeholders to ensure the country does not witness such a disaster again.

”The May 9 disaster in Accra -never again -my thoughts go out to the families who have lost their siblings on this very day. A special thanks to Herbert Mensah for his long lasting initiative,” Baffoe tweeted.
