Argentina Football Association announced that the country’s Cup competition would now be known as the Diego Maradona Cup following the death of the soccer legend on November 25th.
“In homage to the unforgettable captain of the Argentine National Team, the Professional League Cup will be renamed to the Diego Armando Maradona Cup,” a statement read.
