Ghana international THOMAS PARTEY is available for a summer exit from Atletico Madrid, according to media reports in Spain.
Partey, 27, has been in the transfer news for some time now over a purported move to Arsenal in the Premier League, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Juventus and Barcelona, all believed to be interested in the services.
With his release clause set at €50m (£44.8) Atletico Madrid’s hand could be tied at their backs as top European clubs could gazump the deal to secure his services.
Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague, told his YouTube channel: that “Even his dad has said that his buy-out clause is €50million (£43.5m), so if anyone wants him, he is available.
“That is true. Atletico Madrid are pushing him out the door as well.
“Because the club are saying, ‘Well we cannot do anything if a club comes in with 50 million’. Almost wishing that the 50 million arrives.
“They are saying that they believe Thomas won’t stay there next season. Isn’t that another way of saying that he is for sale?
“And they believe that it will be the Premier League and they have indications that Arsenal will be the one [to sign him].”
Goal reports believe the Gunners are ready to offer the 27-year old midfielder a huge pay increase to £195,000-a-week if the signs for the North London club.
Former Ghana and Getafe star Derek Boateng earlier this week in an interview with this portal, advised the Black Stars midfielder to move to a club where he will be ‘happy and also enjoy more playing time.
Boateng tells SPORTSworldGhana.com that “For me as a senior brother, as experience player, I like him a lot because he is such a respectful player and deserves to be wherever he is right now,”
“I personally want him to play at where he would be happy. We all know that he is playing every game at Atletico Madrid. He only knows what is going on but the Premier League we be a good destination for him but at the end of the day you have to play at where you will be happy and as well feel respected,” he added.
“I have personally received messages from seven people on Instagram that I should advice Partey to move to Arsenal, but the best advice I can give him is that he should play at where he will be happy.
“If Atletico Madrid is making him happy and he is playing week in week out then he should stay there, play and enjoy the game.” he concluded.
