Asamoah Afriyie Boateng of Asokwa Deportivo SC has bagged six goals in the ongoing 2020-21 Ghana Division One League Zone Two for the Asokwa-based club.
The tall striker grabbed his sixth league goal for the Allah is Great Boys last Thursday against promotion chasers Skyy FC at the Okese Park in Ejisu.
Asamoah Boateng got three goals in the first round of the season in eight matches after working his way into the starting 11.
After the sales of Gordon Kusi Brokelyn and Raymond Owusu Frimpong to Obuasi Ashantigold SC and Zorya Luhansk in Ukraine respectively, the strong and energetic striker filled the shoes of the duo perfectly by getting the goals to lift the club on the table.
The 23-year-old predator finisher has played in 15 games this season in the second-tier league of Ghana Football and has been in an instrumental player for his team.
Asamoah has in all scored six goals in his 15 appearances for the Blue, Yellow and Whites outfit this season after breaking through into the first team.
He has also provided four assists in the Division One League Zone Two taking his total goal tally in 15 matches to 10 with six goals and four assists.
The striker has also been awarded the Most Valuable Player award on three occasions this season in the league and is the top scorer for the club this campaign.
A host of clubs have expressed interest in signing the strong striker at the end of the current campaign.
