Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, has offered advice to goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad, urging him to revisit the fundamentals that led to his success during his eight-year tenure at Asante Kotoko.
Gyan believes that Danlad can regain his form by recalling the qualities that earned him numerous national team call-ups, including a spot in the 2022 World Cup squad.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper joined Kotoko as a teenager and progressed to become the club’s first-choice goalkeeper and captain before leaving.
On Wontumi Radio, Gyan shared his words of wisdom with Danlad, stating, “It’s clear to everyone that your form has declined since your return from the World Cup. Remember all the things that helped you to be successful in your loans and became a number one at Asante Kotoko”
“You are still young, you can do more than what you did over the years. The sky is your limit.”
Danlad’s last two seasons at Kotoko were challenging, as he seemed to have lost the trust of his coaches, who preferred former Accra Lions goalkeeper Frederick Asare.
