The general captain of Aduana Stars, Emmanuel Akuoko has stated emphatically that Kumasi Asante Kotoko can never win against Aduana Stars at the Osagyefo Agyemang Badu II stadium at Dormaa.
He revealed in a one – on – one interview with Opoku Afriyie Richmond on Fox FM’s Rush Hour.
He stated that “there is a huge rivalry between Kotoko and Aduana Stars.”
He further explained that the players of Adauna Stars are highly motivated before clashes with Kotoko. Hence, they can never disappoint the Dormaa populace.
Obubulebu revealed the secret behind the highly competitive matches with Kotoko especially at Dormaa by saying “we decided not to lose against any big club at Dormaa since our first Premier League game in 2009 especially Kotoko and also because of the huge motivation we receive from Osagyefo Nana Agyemang Badu II. “We are mostly given GH¢700.00 for a win and GH¢500.00 as bonuses for a draw against Kotoko”.
Obubulebu explained that Kotoko always goes to Dormaa to play Aduana Stars with fears hence their winless streak against Aduana at Dormaa Ahenkro. Meanwhile, he again revealed that he was approached by Hearts of Oak, Ashgold and Kotoko, during the era of Dr. K.K Sarpong. His proposed move from Aduana Stars to a different club failed because he was given double the amount the clubs proposed to him.
Emmanuel Akuoko showered praises on his manager, Mr. & Mrs. Addai as well as the President of Aduana Stars, Nana Agyemang Badu II (Dormaahene) on the favors they have done to him so far.
