Hearts of Oak and rivals Asante Kotoko have expressed their interest in acquiring the services of highly-rated Medeama defender, Abdul Fatawu Hamidu.
The 25-year-old has been impressing in the CAF Champions League and Ghana Premier League, earning him call-ups to the Black Stars in recent times.
Fatawu’s exceptional performances have caught the attention of both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, who are eager to bolster their squads ahead of the upcoming season.
According to sources, the Phobians have held initial talks with Hamidu’s entourage but have yet to make an official approach to Medeama to discuss a transfer fee.
Hamidu made 19 appearances for Medeama in the league last season, scoring once and providing four assists, and has also featured for the Black Stars in a friendly game against Liberia.
