FC AshantiGold 04 are in discussions with Italian Serie A side S.S. Lazio over a potential partnership aimed at strengthening the Obuasi-based club’s long-term development.
The talks form part of efforts to build international ties that could enhance technical growth, player development, and overall club structure for AshantiGold 04, who are currently leading Zone 2 of the Access Bank Division One League.
Representing the Ghanaian club in the discussions were co-owner Rahim Ibrahim and Luigi De Sanctis Balduzzi. The engagement signals AshantiGold 04’s ambition to align with established European football systems as they continue their push for promotion.
While details of the proposed partnership are yet to be finalised, such collaborations typically focus on areas including youth development, coaching exchange programmes, scouting networks, and institutional support.
