Ashantigold defeated Ebusua Dwarfs by 1-0 at the Len Clay sports stadium during Week 29 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday as Mark Agyekum missed a first half penalty.
Osei Seth’s 54th minute brilliant solo goal was enough for the team coached by ex Ghana star youth Thomas Duah.
The former Eleven Wonders skillful player picked a ball in the opponent half and run at their defenders before producing a fine strike that landed at the bottom corner of the Dwarfs goal.
But before the opening goal, it was Mark Agyekum who failed to convert a first half penalty as his poor effort was saved by goalkeeper Bright Quaye who committed the penalty by brining down Agyekum in the penalty area.
Dwarfs who were without both head coach Ernest Thompson and his assistant saw the team manager of club in charge of technical duties at the Len Clay.
The home side were the better side after 90 minutes and they deserve their victory.
