Ashantigold coach Thomas Duah wants the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season cancelled after two months without football due to COVID-19.
All football activities in the country, have been halted following the outbreak of the cornavirus in Ghana, but after almost three months and with the easing of lockdown restrictions by government, there has been calls for the return of football.
But the Ghana FA, is yet to communicate whether the season would be cancelled or not.
“I don’t see why we should continue with the league looking at the time left for us,” Duah told Oyerepa FM.
“You go to Belgium, Holland and France they have all ended their leagues, they are more advanced than us but what they did,” he added.
There are also calls for playing behind close doors, but the Ashantigold gaffer disagrees with the idea.
“Some are suggesting playing behind closed doors that I disagree because we can’t do without the supporters, that’s not us, it can’t work,” said Duah.
