AshantiGold Sporting Club are currently in talks with Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed, defenders Ahmed Adams and Stephen Anokye Badu to get them signed as they prepare to compete in the Caf confederation cup next season.
SPORTSworldGhana.com can report exclusively that the miners have officially contacted the experienced players to join the club for their African campaign.
Last season when the Obuasi-based club represented Ghana in Africa, they were kicked out the competition at the early stages and have opted to bolster their squad with the signing of the trio to enable them at least better their last season’s performance.
Anokye Badu who last played for Kuwaiti Premier league side Al Tadhamon Sporting Club and back home could soon join the miners.
The player who left Aduana Stars in October 2018, had earlier played for Oman Premier league side Sohar FC.
Meanwhile, former Ghana youth star Patrick Asmah who recently was released by Italian Serie A side Atalanta BC, could also join Ashantigold SC should negotiations go through with officials of the club in the coming days.
