AshantiGold SC midfielder David Abagna Sandan is satisfied with the Miners 2-2 stalemate against Accra Hearts of Oak on Tuesday in the Ghana Premier League.
Coach Milovan Cirkovic’s side came from behind two times to pick an important away point at the Accra Sports stadium on Tuesday night.
Hearts of Oak opened the scoring in the 38th minute through striker Kojo Obeng Jnr. after he capitalized on a defensive error.
However, Hans Kwofi pulled parity for the Miners few minutes after the break.
Obeng Jnr. struck again to restore Hearts of Oak lead in the 80th minute.
Kwofie scored on stoppage time with a sweet header to get the equalizer for the Gold and Black outfit.
“It wasn’t an easy game. Coming to play against Hearts of Oak is always of high intensity and we getting a draw against them is good for us,” he said.
“It is an away fixture so the draw is good.”
AshantiGold will host Burkina Faso counterparts Salitas FC in the first leg of the Preliminary Round of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday at the Len Clay stadium.
