Ghana Premier League giant, Obuasi Ashgold SC have suffered their first defeat in a pre-season friendly against Division One League side Asokwa Deportivo SC on Wednesday.
The Miners invited the Kumasi-based club for a friendly encounter as they intensify their preparations for the 2020-21 season.
Raymond Frimpong, striker of the Division One side, scored the only goal for Deportivo as they narrowly beat the Yellow and Blacks away from home.
Asokwa Deportivo SC famously eliminated Asante Kotoko SC from the 2019-20 FA Cup competition in Obuasi last March and seems to be finding it easy whenever they play in Obuasi.
Ashantigold suffers their first defeat in their first game since the Covid-19 pandemic break in March which led to the cancelation of the Ghana Premier League season.
