Former AshantiGold defender Richard Ocran has described the miners as being ungrateful adding he has been treated unfairly despite playing his heart out for the club.
The 30 year old believes he did enough at the club to have been at least handed contract extension.
The former Dreams FC defender recently parted ways with the Obuasi based club after mutually agreeing to terminate their existing contract.
Ocrean signed two years for the Miners ahead of the 2016/2017 season after leaving Dreams FC.
I went to Ashgold with clean hearts but so many things happened there but if you’re working with someone and the person doesn’t appreciate your effort you have to advice yourself hence my contract termination’’ said Ocrean
Ocrean claims he rejected offers from Cyprus and Turkey since he had to focus on Ashanti Gold SC to beat relegation.
‘’Can you imagine I had to reject offers from clubs in Turkey and Cyprus to focus on our mission to survive relegation because our position on the league table was very bad and now see what they have done to me’’.
‘’I rejected those offers because of the love I had for Ashanti Gold SC only to be treated this way at the end of the season. ‘’
He scored three goals for AshantiGold last season last season.
