Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has turned down a move to Turkish side Antalyaspor, citing financial concerns, as he weighs his next career step away from Anderlecht.
The 26-year-old is reportedly exploring options in the German Bundesliga or a potential return to Switzerland, where he previously enjoyed a standout spell with FC St. Gallen during the 2018/19 season while on loan from Red Bull Salzburg.
Though he expressed interest in Antalyaspor’s project, Ashimeru rejected the offer, describing it as “financially insufficient.”
With his time at Belgian giants Anderlecht seemingly nearing its end, Ashimeru is now focused on securing a move that aligns with both his professional ambitions and financial expectations.
His performances in Europe continue to attract attention, and a return to familiar territory in Switzerland or a fresh challenge in Germany could be on the horizon.
