Ghanaian midfielder Abraham Asiedu Attobrah has revealed the reasons why he could not sign for Mamelodi Sundowns three years ago.
The former Ghana under 20 playmaker trained with the South African Brazilians in 2017 after leaving Belgian Pro League outfit K.V Kortrijk but could not join them as he headed for Al Shorta in Iraq instead.
Attobrah pointed out that though he could have signed the contract, his chances of playing were very slim because of Teko Modise who was on top form them.
“I cannot say I am a better player when I see another good player and start to say that he is not a good player. That’s not like me, I don’t do that,” Attobrah told Siya Crew
“At that time, (Teko) Modise was a big name in South Africa and they couldn’t bench Modise for me to play, because I was also playing in the same position and same role as Modise,”
Attobrah is currently a free agent after leaving Al Shorta last year.
