Division One League team Asokwa Deportivo SC midfielder, Evans Sarfo has been invited into the national under 20 team for the upcoming WAFU tournament.
The diminutive midfielder who has been consistent with his boyhood club since his colts days with the junior side Asokwa Royals received a late call-up by coach Karim Zito.
The 18-year-old hard working midfielder has been with the senior side of the club for three years since his breakthrough season in 2017.
Sarfo, who is a versatile player can also be deployed as a wing-back or a full-back on any occasion and would suit perfectly into the coaches game plan.
The Deportivo youngster was part of the 2017 Ghana U-17 team coached by Paa Kwasi Fabin and was dropped in Dubai to pave way for Ajax Amsterdam wonder kid Kudus Mohammed ahead of the tournament in India.
Sarfo who made substitute appearances in all the games played in the Division One League this season for Deportivo scored one goal with one assists to his credit.
After loosing his place in the coach Paa Kwasi Fabin-led Starlets team, the combative midfielder would be looking forward to cement his place in the National U-20 team as they gear-up towards the WAFU competition.
