Asokwa Deportivo SC youngster, Emmanuel Nti has joined Premier League leaders Karela United FC, SportsworldGhana.com can report.
The 16-year-old tall and strong defender has joined the Pride and Passion lads till the end of the Premier League season in Ghana.
Nti, 16, was the defensive partner of former Ghana U-20 captain, Ishaku Konda for the Namoro Boys in the 2020-21 Ghana Division One League.
After his impressive showings and consistent performance in the Ghana Second Tier League, the Anyinase-based club has snapped the young defender into their ranks as they look to booster their squad in quest to continue pushing for the ultimate at the end of the season.
Emmanuel Nti was part of Kumasi High School football team that won the 2020 Ashanti Region Milo Games held at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium early January last year.
In 2019, the youngster was part of the Ghana U-17 team but missed out on the final squad due to injury and has been constantly playing for the Allah is Great team this season leading to his move to Karela United.
Karela United plays West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC today in the Ghana Premier League but the youngster may get his debut next week after joining the team on Monday.
Nti becomes the second Asokwa Deportivo SC player to join Karela United FC after diminutive midfielder, Evans Sarfo joined before the start of the season.
The young center-back has been with the club for the past eight years and was a delight to watch throughout his development process at the team’s youth team, Asokwa Royals and is a native of Asokwa and has become the eighth player born and raised in Asokwa to go through the ranks to reach the top level.
