Samuel Obeng of Asokwa Deportivo SC scored a scorcher for his team as they beat regional rivals Achiken FC 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
The week fourteen clash in the Ghana Division One League between the two Ashanti Region teams was a delight to watch as both teams exhibited quality and entertaining football on the day.
The 16-year-old left-footed versatile player played full throttle for his team in their narrow win over their opponents and was constantly a thorn in the flesh of the Assin Fosu team.
Youngster, Obeng opened the scoring in the first half with a a goal of the season contender when he exquisitely provided a world-class finish to give the Allah is Great team a 1-0 before the break.
Midfielder Issah Mammud also scored his second goal of the season and the second on the day for the home before the visitors scores a late consolation goal to make the final score 2-1 in favour of the Asokwa-based club.
Obeng’s goal is his first strike of the campaign in the Ghana’s second-tier league for his club.
The youngster was part of the 2020 Ghana under-17 team but missed out on the final squad that represented the country in the WAFU Zone B U-17 championship which Ghana was eliminated from the tournament in the group stages.
