Ghanaian forward Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah bagged his 3rd League goal and 4th in all competitions in the 2021-22 Swiss Super League against FC Luzern for his team FC Lugano.
The Ghanaian player born in Kumasi broke the deadlock of the match to put the away team in the lead three minutes into the game.
He was set up by Zan Celar inside the box as his right-footed shot from the center of the box found the bottom right corner to make it 1-0 early in the game to settle the nerves of the visitors.
The home team equalized on the 20th minute mark by Filip Ugrinic but Celar Lugano’s lead 10 minutes later.
Mattia Bottani made it 3-1 at the stroke of half time but the home team set up a grand style finish to the match when they got their second goal from the spot through Dejan Sorgic after 72 minutes.
The game finished 3-2 to the away team and Abubakar-Ankrah lasted 60 minutes of the match.
The 24-year-old versatile Ghanaian forward has three goals in 3 goals in six matches in the Swiss top-flight.
