Ghanaian forward, Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah has been named in a three-man shortlisted list for the Switzerland Challenge League 2020 Best Player Award.
The Ghanaian playmaker who represented Portugal at the juvenile level was a great success for SC Kriens in their 2019-20 campaign in the Swiss second-tier league.
The 23-year-old predator finisher played 47 games in all competitions last season for the Boys in Green and was voted the best player of his team at the end of the season.
Abubakar-Ankrah had a great time in Switzerland last campaign for SC Kriens as he finished the season with 15 goals as the third best goal scorer in the league with four assists.
Abubakar-Ankrah, who is still eligible to represent Ghana also won the top scorer award at his club and attracted a lot of interest from big clubs across Europe.
Despite suffering injuries this season, the Ghanaian attacker has scored seven goals and has bagged four assists in eleven games already as his side struggled for goals in his absence.
