Since making his debut for the Black Stars on November 14th, 2019 in a 2-0 win over South Africa during an AFCON qualifying game played in Cape Coast, Mohammed Kudus has not looked back.
In that game the Ajax midfielder also scored his debut goal for the Black Stars after coming on as 61st minute substitute for Alfred Duncan going on to score against the same opponent for his international goal number two during the reverse game in Johannesburg.
Following series of top performances from the youngster , it is fair to say that he has become a mainstay in the Black Stars and whenever a Ghana coach is going to make a selection – you expect to see the name Kudus Mohammed – under normal circumstances.
Akonnor was full of superlatives for his playmaker even after the Ghana defeat against Morocco.
“He is a good player, fantastic. He can produce magic at every giving time” the Ghana coach said of Kudus.
In recent times several young players who received Black Stars selection for the first time never got selected again either due to lack of opportunities or failed to impress but for Mohammed Kudus , boy has passed the test and he is becoming a regular international footballer.
