Italian Serie A side Atalanta BC are on the verge of securing the services of Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana, according to a report by TuttoAtalanta.
Negotiations with Southampton have progressed rapidly in recent days, with a transfer package worth €18–20 million, including bonuses, currently on the table. The 23-year-old is expected to join the Bergamo-based club once final details are agreed upon.
The move will see Sulemana reunite with Ivan Jurić, who recently took over as Atalanta’s head coach. Sources say Jurić personally pushed for the deal, identifying Sulemana as a key piece for his tactical setup. The club’s board has already granted approval for the transfer.
Sulemana, known for his explosive pace and dribbling ability, joined Southampton in January 2023 from Rennes but struggled to maintain consistent form as the Saints faced relegation challenges. A fresh start in Serie A under a manager who believes in his potential could reignite his career and offer Atalanta an exciting attacking option for the upcoming season.
