Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have intensified their interest in signing Real Mallorca midfielder Baba Iddrisu as a replacement for in- demand countryman Thomas Partey this summer.
The 24-year-old midfield jewel has been identified a direct replacement for the Partey who is close to joining English side Arsenal.
Partey, 27, has reportedly refused contract extension at the club as he pushes for a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano.
The Madrid-based club sees Baba Iddrisu as the best man to replace Thomas Partey at the club, having loved his qualified and skills in midfield.
Baba Iddrisu who has capped two times for Ghana’s Black Stars has been outstanding since Mallorca returned to the Spanish Laliga, staring 27 league games and is currently one of the side’s most valuable players.
Baba moved to Spain at early age and joined Mallorca permanently in 2016 following a series of loan spells from Leganes.
