Asante Kotoko head coach Kjetil Zachariassen, has commended forward Augustine Okrah for his impressive performance in the club’s 2-0 win over Etoile Du Sahel in the Caf Champions League on Sunday.
The former Ghana Premier League goal king, played his first competitive game for Kotoko since joining them as free agent and did not disappoint the teeming fans who thronged the Baba Yara Stadium with his dazzling skills and as well registered his name on the scoring sheet.
According to the Norwegian trainer, the Black Stars ‘B’ striker played strictly according to instructions from the technical bench hence his splendid display for the Porcupine Warriors in the crucial clash.
Augustine Okrah shot the Porcupine Warriors the lead just two minutes into the game with a fine freekick before striker Richard Arthur doubled the lead in the 55th minute.
Speaking exclusively to SportsworldGhana.com after Sunday’s game, Zachariassen said the striker executed his tactics perfectly in the crucial game.
”Okrah play very well in the game, he really made his experience count and that I think made the difference,”
”He’s such an intelligent player and I hope he keeps doing well in our subsequent games,”
Okrah, is currently part of the Black Stars ‘B’ who are preparing for Sunday’s CHAN qualifier match against Burkina Faso in Kumasi.
