Experienced player, Augustine Okrah is just the perfect solution to Asante Kotoko SC playmaker’s role left by starman Fabio Gama as they meet Great Olympics today.
The 27-year-old versatile forward has been used as a playmaker playing in between the striker and the midfielders all his career when the need ever arise and is the man who can be very useful and effective in that position.
In the last three games Asante Kotoko SC have played in the Ghana Premier League, Okrah, who was almost a forgotten figure in the team’s setup have been lively and is one of the best performers in the league recently.
Fitting into a guy who has won the hearts of many football enthusiasts in the country with his sizzling display, Okrah must be at his maximum best to be able to wear the shoes left open by Fabio Gama.

Having both players, Gama and Okrah on the field is a different experience all together and hell for any defense in Ghana’s top-flight league but with the latter’s experience in Africa and in the Ghana Premier League, everyone expects Okrah to do the job in the Brazilian’s absence.
With two assists from his last two matches for the Porcupine Warriors, Asante Kotoko fans are of high hopes of seeing another master class show from the former Ghana Premier League best player and top scorer winner.
Since Kotoko will miss Gama, a player with two goals and three assists from his recent three matches, they would need not just Okrah but a collective effort to get past Olympics who beat them earlier in the season.
Should Kotoko fail to win today’s game against Olympics, the title race would be blown wide open with other teams having a good chance to smell the trophy as a possibility.
